The Bakery and Kitchen Equipment Expo being held concurrently with the 3rd edition of FOOD EXPO at Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai – Tamil Nadu, India from the 24th to 26th November 2023 will be a three day event bringing the best Services, Machinery , Equipment, Technology, Hotel ware, kitchen equipment , home appliances, and allied Industry stake holders in the Bakery & Kitchen Equipment Sector on to a single platform for their Mutual Benefit.
Through this mega fair we have initiated a platform for bringing together the very latest Food& Bakery technologies and professionals to interact, understand buyer-seller needs, and bring awareness to all segments of end users.
The Bakery and Kitchen Equipment Industry
The Indian bakery sector is the second largest in the world after the United States of America and had a market value of about $7.22 billion in 2018 with a projected value to exceed $12 billion by 2024. The changing consumer behavior across the country due to change in life style and increased acceptance of bakery items due to increased influence of western foods which are now available as per choice of the masses such as eggless products, halal certified products etc.
The Kitchen Equipment industry is another major sector in the country that is linked very closely to the Bakery and Food Industry . 40% of the contribution in the sector is from the Southern regions of the country. The major consumers of the Kitchen equipment industry are from the food service industry such as restaurants, hotels, caterings and other commercial kitchens. The market can be broadly be divided into Large Equipment such as Steamer and boiler systems, tables, sinks , pans etc, Mechanical equipment such as mincing machines, mixers, dishwashers, refrigeration systems, exhaust systems, and lastly into small equipment such as utensils etc
